Description
IOOC oil jetty is located at Lavan Island that is in 18 km distance from the southern coast of Iran in Persian Gulf.
This jetty is connected to the shore with an access route consists of a rubble mound road and a steel access bridge.
The jetty has the berthing capacity of 150,000 tons oil tankers and 30,000 to 60,000 tons oil product tankers.
In 1997, Lavan Oil Refining Company decided to renovate and expand the mechanical facilities due to their expansion plans.
In this regard, they awarded the contract for replacing the existing oil pipelines on the IOOC jetty and adding two new oil product pipelines to the IOOC jetty loading platform, to the Pars Eskeleh- Pouya Tarh Pars consortium.
The challenging part of this project was the construction of the marine pipelines. A number of practical and economical procedures were proposed to the client and the optimum one was selected for the construction purposes.
