Ports and maritime organization of Iran (PMO) aims to construct a maritime infrastructure with the functionality
of marina and passenger port. This project includes:
- Construction of an 80 m long rubble mound jetty
- Construction of a 352 m jetty (deck on piles structure)
- Construction of a basin including two breakwater arms (555 m and 345 m)
- Land reclamation, with an area of 2.6 hectares
- Fixed and floating berths
- All necessary land and marine facilites

Description

A complete port planning study was carried out, based on the client's bussiness plan, leading to determination of share of each activity in the hinterland of 70 ha.
Main activities in Freidonkenar port are: Low/high flash oil, LPG, general cargo, grian cilos and storages, container. The port is facilitated with administration and service buidings, maritime control tower, roads, gates and scales.

Calibration and verification of a 3D baroclinic numerical model
Examining different alternatives for the outfal using the calibrated numerical model
Cost estimates and technical comparison between the alternatives leading to proposed location for the outfall

Calibration of the numerical model for examining various types of shore protection as well as coastal structures
